Keynote Speaker I

Prof. Subhas Mukhopadhyay, Macquarie University, Australia (IEEE Fellow / IET Fellow)

Dr. Subhas Chandra Mukhopadhyay (M’97, SM’02, F’11) currently is working as a Professor of Mechanical/Electronics Engineering with the School of Engineering, Macquarie University, NSW 2109, Australia. He is the Discipline Leader of the Mechatronics Engineering Programme. He is also the Director of International Engagement for the School of Engineering. His fields of interest include Sensors and Sensing Technology, Instrumentation, Wireless sensor networks, Internet of Things, Mechatronics and Robotics etc. He has authored/co-authored 10 books, over 400 papers in different international journals, conferences and book chapter. He has edited eighteen conference proceedings. He has also edited thirty two special issues of international journals as guest editor and thirty six books.
He is a FIEEE (USA), a FIET (UK) and a FIETE (India). He is a Topical Editor of IEEE Sensors journal, an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurements and an Associate Edior of IEEE Review of Biomedical Engineering. He is EiC of S2IS journal and Series Editor of Smart Sensing, Measurements and Instrumentation, Springer-Verlag. He was the Founding Chair of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society New South Wales, Australia Chapter and currently ex-chair of the chapter. He is also the Founding Chair of the IEEE Sensors Council New South Wales, Australia Chapter. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Sensors Council 2017-2022. He has delivered 402 seminars, including keynote, invited, tutorial and special talks. He has organized over 20 international conferences either as General Chair or Teachnical Programme Chair. He has organized the IEEE Sensors Conference 2021 in Sydney as General Co-chair.

 

Keynote Speaker II

Prof. Prof. Mohammad S. Obaidat, University of Sharjah, UAE (IEEE Fellow / SCS Fellow)

(Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat (Fellow of IEEE 2005, and SCS Fellow 2000) is an internationally known academic/researcher/scientist/ scholar. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Columbus, USA. He has received extensive research funding and published To Date (2019) about One Thousand and Two Hundreds (1,200) refereed technical articles-About half of them are journal articles, over 95 books, and about 70 Book Chapters. He is Editor-in-Chief of 3 scholarly journals and an editor of many other international journals.  He is the founding Editor-in Chief of Wiley Security and Privacy Journal.  Moreover, he is founder or co-founder of 5 International Conferences.

Among his previous positions are Advisor to the President of Philadelphia University for Research, Development and Information Technology, President and Chair of Board of Directors of the Society for Molding and Simulation International, SCS, Senior Vice President of SCS, Dean of the College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University, Chair and tenured Professor at the Department of Computer and Information Science and Director of the MS Graduate Program in Data Analytics at Fordham university, Chair and tenured Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Director of the Graduate Program at Monmouth University, Tenured Full Professor at King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, University of Jordan, Founding Dean and Professor,  College of Computing and Informatics at The University of Sharjah, UAE. He is also The PR of China Ministry of Education Distinguished Overseas Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China and an Honorary Distinguished Professor at the Amity University- A Global University. He is now the Founding Dean and Professor, College of Computing and Informatics at The University of Sharjah, UAE. He has chaired numerous (Over 175) international conferences and has given numerous (Over 175) keynote speeches worldwide. He has served as ABET/CSAB evaluator and on IEEE CS Fellow Evaluation Committee. He has served as IEEE CS Distinguished Speaker/Lecturer and an ACM Distinguished Lecturer. Since 2004 has been serving as an SCS Distinguished Lecturer. He received many best paper awards for his papers including ones from IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, AICSA, CITS, SPECTS, DCNET International conferences. He also received Best Paper awards from IEEE Systems Journal in 2018 and in 2019 (2 Best Paper Awards). In 2020, he received 4 best paper awards from IEEE Systems Journal. In 2021, he also received the IEEE Systems best paper award. In 2021, he was ranked by Guide2Research as Number 1 Computer Scientist in UE in terms of Number of Publications.

He also received many other worldwide awards for his technical contributions including: The 2018 IEEE ComSoc-Technical Committee on Communications Software Technical Achievement Award for contribution to Cybersecurity, Wireless Networks Computer Networks and Modeling and Simulation, SCS prestigious McLeod Founder's Award , Presidential Service Award, SCS Hall of Fame –Lifetime Achievement Award for his technical contribution to modeling and simulation and for his outstanding visionary leadership and dedication to increasing the effectiveness and broadening the applications of modeling and simulation worldwide. He also received the SCS Outstanding Service Award. He was awarded the IEEE CITS Hall of Fame Distinguished and Eminent Award. 

 

Keynote Speaker III

Prof. Wei Ren, University of California, USA (IEEE Fellow)

Wei Ren is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, Riverside. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University, Provo, UT, in 2004. From 2004 to 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park. He was an Assistant Professor (2005-2010) and an Associate Professor (2010-2011) with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Utah State University. His research focuses on distributed control of multi-agent systems. Dr. Ren is an author of two books Distributed Coordination of Multi-agent Networks (Springer-Verlag, 2011) and Distributed Consensus in Multi-vehicle Cooperative Control (Springer-Verlag, 2008). He was a recipient of the Antonio Ruberti Young Researcher Prize in 2017 and the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2008. He is an IEEE Fellow and an IEEE Control Systems Society Distinguished Lecturer.

 

Keynote Speaker IV

Prof. Sun Ning, Nankai University, China (IEEE Senior Member)

Ning Sun received the B.S. degree in measurement & control technology and instruments from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 2014. He is currently an IEEE Senior Member.

He is currently a Full Professor with the Institute of Robotics and Automatic Information Systems, Nankai University, Tianjin, China. He was awarded the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard). His research interests include intelligent control for mechatronic/robotic systems with emphasis on (industrial) applications.

Professor Sun received several best/outstanding paper awards from journals/conferences, the Machines Young Investigator Award in 2021, the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Excellent Youth Award in 2019, the China 10 Scientific and Technological Developments in Intelligent Manufacturing (2nd achiever) in 2019, the First Class Prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Natural Science Award in 2017, the First Class Prize of Tianjin Natural Science Award in 2018, the Golden Patent Award of Tianjin in 2017, the IJCAS (International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems) Academic Activity Award in 2018 and 2019, the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) in 2016, etc.

He serves as an Associate Editor (editorial board member) for several journals, including IEEE Access, Frontiers in Neurorobotics, International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems, IET Cyber-Systems & Robotics, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing, etc. Prof. Sun has been an Associate Editor of the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) Conference Editorial Board (including ACC, IEEE CDC) since July 2019, and he is/was an Associate Editor for IEEE ICRA and IEEE/RSJ IROS.
